Four arrested after apartment is searched.
Four people were arrested Saturday night on suspicion of drug charges by Merced,California police conducting a parole search in the 3200 block of Meadows Avenue.
Officer Joe Deliman of the Merced,California Police Department's Gang Violence Suppression Unit said officers heard a number of people were lingering at the Meadows Avenue apartment, with drug use and sales taking place.
During their 6:50 p.m. search at the apartment, three grams of methamphetamine were discovered along with a pipe loaded and ready to smoke the substance, Deliman said.
Lannette Brown, 20, of Merced,California was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, false impersonation, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and two felony warrants. She was booked into Merced County,California Jail where she remained Sunday night in lieu of $40,000 bail, according to a correctional official.
Deliman said Brown, who reportedly gave officers a false name, and Zachariah Caldwell, 19, also of Merced,California were found hiding in a closet. Caldwell was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and remains jailed in lieu of $12,000 bail.
Lakisha Cooper, 31, of Merced,California was arrested on two felony warrants and Dwight Benjamin Fisher, 41, of Merced,California was arrested on charges of being in a place where narcotics were used and sold and parole violation.
Cooper remained jailed Sunday night in lieu of $50,000 bail and Fisher was being held without bail due to the parole hold, correctional officials said.
